LENTEN STUDY LEAVE FOR JEFF

Jeff Suddendorf will be gone for his annual study leave March 11 – March 17. He will once again be traveling to the Holy Cross Monastery in Santa Barbara, California. Jeff first visited the monastery in the winter of 1986. This will be his twenty-first, and last, study retreat to Santa Barbara. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

WOKE! A COMMUNITY CONVERSATION ABOUT RACIAL JUSTICE

Our church has partnered with our two other UCC churches in Ozaukee County, and with two UCC churches in Milwaukee, to form the Southeast Wisconsin Racial Justice Consortium. Together we have planned a five-part Lenten Study Series focused on the issue of racial justice. We will gather on four Sunday afternoons, and one Sunday evening, during the church season of Lent. Please click here for additional information.

LENTEN REFLECTION AND COMMUNION

Jeff will be conducting Lenten Reflection and Communion Services on Thursday evenings, March 21, 28, April 4 and 11.  We gather in the sanctuary from 6:00 to 6:30.  Please help spread the word!

FAMILY SERVICE AND CHURCH SCHOOL SUNDAYS

We celebrate a Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10:00. The service includes the participation of our 8th Grade Confirmation Class and Children's Choirs. Our next Family Service is Sunday morning, March 24.

Church School meets on the second Sunday of each month at 10:00. All children 4K through 7th grade are invited to participate. Our next Church School Sunday is Sunday, April 14.

RETIREMENT LETTER

As you may have heard, Jeff announced to the congregation that he will be retiring in the fall. For a copy of his letter, click here. Franz Rigert, our Wisconsin Conference Minister, met with our Church Council on Thursday evening, March 14, to explain the entire search and transition process.

PAPER GOODS DRIVE - THANK YOU

The Church School kids would like to thank the members and friends of the congregation who donated so generously to their service project, a paper goods drive to support Family Promise of Ozaukee. In total, the kids collected 220 rolls of toilet paper, 75 rolls of paper towels, 79 boxes of kleenex, 671 paper bowls and 1,953 paper plates!

WELCOME OUR NEWEST MEMBERS

On Sunday morning, January 27, we officially welcomed new members into our community of faith: Betty Bollinger and Dave and Cheryl MacGregor (daughter Eowyn). Please give them a hearty welcome!

MISSION GIVING IN 2018

Last year our church contributed over $29,000 to projects and programs beyond our church. Click here for an accounting of our mission giving for 2018.

FELLOWSHIP HOUR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

We host a Fellowship Hour following our 8:00 service on the first Sunday of each month, and following our 10:00 services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

NURSERY

Every Sunday morning during the 10:00 service we provide a nursery for children newborn through 4-years-old. Care is provided by our 8th grade Confirmation students and their families. Parents are required to register their children, and to sign their children in and out of the nursery. We want to do our very best to make the nursery safe and secure.

WEDNESDAY LUNCH AT CHURCH

Every Wednesday at Noon, you are invited to meet Jeff at church for lunch and Bible study. The group always takes time to visit before reflecting upon the lectionary reading for the upcoming Sunday. Coffee is provided, but please bring your own lunch.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

Men in the church are invited to gather for breakfast every Thursday morning, at 8:00, at the Dockside Deli. The group often has fun considering a Question of the Day.

A gentle yoga class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 5:15 - 6:15. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Susan Niederfrank at susanniederfrank@gmail.com.
