BIKE TO CHURCH SUNDAY AND BIKE BLESSING

This coming Sunday, June 25, has been officially designated as Bike to Church Sunday in the life of our church.  It doesn’t matter whether you are a serious racer or a bike trail cruiser, please become a “holy roller” and ride to church.  Immediately following the service, Jeff will conduct bike blessings in the parking lot.

SUMMER SERVICES

During the summer months, from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, we celebrate with one service on Sunday mornings at 10:00.

AN IMMIGRANT WELCOMING CONFERENCE

A resolution calling on the Wisconsin Conference of the United Church of Christ to declare itself to be an Immigrant Welcoming Conference and calling on its Congregations to covenant as Immigrant Welcoming Congregations was overwhelmingly approved at the 55th Annual Meeting of the Conference held, June 9-11, at the Green Lake Conference Center.  As you may recall, our church, along with 81 other churches throughout the Conference, began to study this issue last winter.  We hope to continue the conversation about becoming an Immigrant Welcoming Church this coming fall.

FISH DAY WEEKEND KICKBALL GAME

Our second annual Fish Day Weekend Kickball Game will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 16, at 2:00, at Kolbach Park on the north side of Port Washington. Children and adults alike are invited to participate or come be a fan. Jeff has once again offered to be the full-time pitcher.

Have a great time!

PORT PRE-SCHOOL

Port Pre-School is currently accepting registration for its 3K Program. For more information, please contact (262) 268-6173.

CHARITABLE FUNDRAISERS

Every year, members and friends of our church participate in charitable fundraising events (walks, runs, bike rides, etc.) helping to raise thousands of dollars for a variety of worthy causes.  As a church community, we support these efforts by contributing $100 per event from our Local Mission Fund.  If you are planning to participate in one of these fundraisers, please complete and submit the Charitable Fundraiser Contribution Request form.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

Men in the church are invited to gather for breakfast every Thursday morning, at 8:00. During the summer months, the group meets at the Dockside Deli.

YOGA AT CHURCH

A gentle yoga class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 5:15 - 6:15. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Susan Niederfrank at susanniederfrank@gmail.com.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

An AA Group meets at our church every Sunday afternoon at 3:00. For more information, please contact the church office.

MISSED CHURCH?

If you wonder what you missed, copies of last Sunday’s bulletin are always available on the literature rack in the church entryway and CDs of the service are always available in the church office.

GLUTEN FREE COMMUNION

We continue to offer a gluten-free option for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion. The gluten-free communion bread is purchased commercially, and prepared separately, so that there is no chance of contact with our regular sourdough communion bread.
