"COOKIES WITH KUSHNER" - LENTEN BOOK STUDY

Pastor Jim is hosting a Lenten Book Study during the five Sunday evenings of March, from 5:00 to 6:00, in the church Library. We are discussing Harold Kushner's book "Nine Essential Things I've Learned About Life". Please plan to read Chapters 3 and 4 for the Book Study this coming Sunday, March 8. Friends are baking cookies to share. We'll provide the coffee!

CHURCH SCHOOL AND FAMILY SERVICE SUNDAYS

Church School meets on the second Sunday of each month at 10:00. All children 4K through 7th grade are invited to participate. Our next Church School Sunday is this coming Sunday morning, March 8.

We celebrate a Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month at 10:00. The service includes the participation of our 8th Grade Confirmation Class and Children's Choirs. Our next Family Service is Sunday morning, March 22.

FELLOWSHIP HOUR ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

We host a Fellowship Hour following our 8:00 service on the first Sunday of each month, and following our 10:00 services on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – MARCH 15

A Special Congregational Meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, March 15, immediately following the 10:00 service. There are two important items of business: a review of our 2020 Church Budget, both income and expenses, and a report from the Search Committee.

SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE

The Committee held short video conversations with twelve candidates during the month of January. They narrowed down their search to five candidates. They held more in depth video interviews on February 16, 23 and March 1. Committee members will be meeting with Conference Minister, Rev. Franz Riegert, this coming Sunday morning, March 8. ALL KIDS INVITED TO SING

Sherri Melichar, our Chapel and Carol Choir Directo, invites all children ages 4K through 8th grade to join our Music Program at any time. The Carol Choir is open to all children 4K through 2nd grade. They rehearse every Monday evening from 5:30 to 6:00, and they sing at the 10:00 Family Service on the fourth Sunday of each month. The Chapel Choir is open to all children 3rd grade through 8th grade. They rehearse every Monday evening from 6:00 to 6:30, and they also sing at the 10:00 Family Service each month. LIGHTHOUSE YOUTH MINISTRY

Our church partners with four other churches in Port Washington and Saukville to support the Lighthouse Youth Ministry for middle and high schoolers. To learn more about the group, visit their website and check out Lighthouse - Port Washington Saukville Ecumenical Youth Ministry on Facebook.

WINTER CONGREGATIONAL MEETING UPDATE

Thank you to the almost fifty folks who stayed after church for our annual Winter Congregational Meeting on January 26. If you were unable to attend, please take a look at the Meeting Report prepared by Ray Shupe, our Church Moderator.

OUR INTERIM MINISTER

Our Interim Minister, Rev. James McKenzie, began serving the church the first week of November. Jim has enjoyed meeting each of you, and invites you to call or stop by anytime.

JEFF'S RETIREMENT

As many of you know, Jeff retired at the end of October. His last Sunday was October 27. He will be missed beyond words!

NURSERY

Every Sunday morning during the 10:00 service we provide a nursery for children newborn through 4-years-old. Care is provided by our 8th grade Confirmation students and their families. Parents are required to register their children, and to sign their children in and out of the nursery. We want to do our very best to make the nursery safe and secure.

WEDNESDAY LUNCH AT CHURCH

Every Wednesday at Noon, you are invited to meet with our Interim Minister, Pastor Jim, and others at church for lunch and Bible study. The group always takes time to visit before reflecting upon the lectionary reading for the upcoming Sunday. Coffee is provided, but please bring your own lunch.

MEN’S BREAKFAST

Men in the church are invited to gather for breakfast every Thursday morning, at 8:00. The group meets at The Beacon restaurant in The Harborview hotel in downtown Port Washington.

YOGA AT CHURCH

A yoga class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 5:15 - 6:15. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Susan Niederfrank at susanniederfrank@gmail.com.

MEDITATION AT CHURCH

A meditation class is held in Fellowship Hall every Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00. The cost is $10 per class. For more information, please contact Kierstin Cira at kierstincira@msn.com.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

An AA Group meets at our church every Sunday afternoon at 3:00. For more information, please contact the church office.
